A Simple Palette

For Hannah’s art piece, I decided to use only two colors of paint. I wanted to see what I could do with a limited color scheme, and I loved it!

I thought it came out very graphic (not meaning explicit, of course).

It’s still whimsical, and it still has the two components that I include in each of my pieces:

Poetry and Women.

But, it “feels” different from my other ones.

Looking at Hannah’s and then Rachel’s, I don’t know if you could tell that I was working on them at the same time. But, I was!

The pictures, once again, stink. I really need to get a new camera…
The colors just aren't as vivid as in real life.

I hope you like it, Hannah! (If you want a different one, let me know.)

Hi there friend. I just realized the other day that my birthday is approaching. I know I never put my request in for a picture because you had so many projects. So, is it too late to request one?
If not, I would love one for my family history/sewing room. I don't have anything on the walls and it would make me happy to look at something so beautiful. I don't particularly have any color palette in mind. Does that make it harder or easier? If you are going to be too busy with the novel writing, I am a patient girl. What do you say? Pretty please?

I'd LOVE to make you a painting, Amanda!

It's not too late (although, with my book-writin', it might be a little late).

And if you could give me a few color suggestions, it would help me narrow down my ideas...

My comment was a little confusing because I said it wasn't too late, but that it might be too late.

What I meant was, it wasn't too late to make the request. But, I might be late on getting it to you by your birthday.

=)

Oh goodie! Late is fine. It'll be like a super surprise, and you know how I love surprises. I am going to make an extra request and this might turn out to be more difficult part of the present. Ready? You are not allowed to say 'this is crap' or any variation of that phrase. Okay?
Agreed. Good. Having said that, I love the coloring in Liz Long's birthday piece, so those colors are good. Is that helpful?
